Students Information Tracking System: Design, Development and Implementation for Academic Institutions

Abstract

The rapid growth of educational institutions has increased the need for efficient management of student records and academic activities. Traditional paper-based systems often result in data redundancy, delays, and difficulties in tracking student performance. A Students Information Tracking System (SITS) is a computerized solution designed to manage student data, attendance, academic performance, course registration, and communication effectively. This paper presents the design, implementation, and benefits of a web-based Students Information Tracking System that enhances administrative efficiency, improves data accuracy, and supports informed decision-making. The proposed system provides real-time access to student information, ensuring secure and efficient management of educational records. Research indicates that digital student information systems significantly improve record management, attendance tracking, academic monitoring, and institutional efficiency. (IJERT)
