Operational Factors and Operational Productivity of Private Higher Education Institutions in Valencia City, Bukidnon

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the level of operational factors of private higher education institutions in Valencia City, Bukidnon. Specifically, it seeks to answer in terms of technology adoption, resource management, and human resource practices, assess the level of operational productivity of private higher education institutions in terms of resource use and employee productivity, and examine the significant relationship between operational factors and operational productivity of private higher education institutions. Using a descriptive-correlational research design, one hundred respondents consisting of faculty and staff from private higher education institutions in Valencia City, Bukidnon, were selected through stratified sampling as respondents of the study and data were collected through a researcher-made instrument survey questionnaire. Statistical analyses, including mean, standard deviation, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation, were applied to measure the significant relationship between operational factors of private higher education institutions. The findings showed that technology adoption, resource management, and human resource practices all obtained high overall mean scores interpreted as Excellent Implementation, indicating favorable perceptions among respondents regarding institutional operational practices. Likewise, operational productivity in terms of resource utilization and employee productivity received high ratings interpreted as Outstanding Productivity, suggesting that institutional resources and employee performance effectively support organizational operations.
