Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increasingly transformed recruitment practices by automating candidate sourcing, resume screening, interview scheduling, assessment, and employee selection. While AI-driven recruitment can improve efficiency, reduce administrative workload, and support data-informed decision-making, its growing influence also raises significant ethical and organizational concerns. This article examines the relationship between AI recruitment practices, job satisfaction, and ethical issues associated with algorithmic decision-making. Particular attention is given to algorithmic bias, privacy, transparency, accountability, discrimination, data security, human oversight, and the changing role of recruitment professionals. AI systems can potentially improve the recruitment experience by accelerating recruitment procedures and matching applicants with suitable positions. However, poorly designed or inadequately monitored systems may reproduce historical biases, create perceptions of unfairness, reduce trust, and negatively influence organizational commitment and job satisfaction. The article argues that technological efficiency alone cannot determine the success of AI-based recruitment. Ethical principles, transparency, explainability, fairness, and meaningful human involvement are essential for developing responsible recruitment systems. Organizations should therefore adopt ethical AI governance frameworks that balance technological innovation with employee well-being, organizational justice, and respect for individual rights. Responsible implementation of AI can enable organizations to benefit from automation while preserving trust, fairness, and satisfaction within the contemporary workplace.
